TV Land pulls The Cosby Show from its lineup

  1. The Associated Press reports that, amid new rape allegations against Bill Cosby, the network will stop airing The Cosby Show.
  2. A TV Land spokesperson said the change will take effect immediately.
  3. The Cosby Show, which was slated to be part of a Thanksgiving marathon of sitcoms, will be off the network indefinitely.
  4. Cosby and his representatives maintain that all of the allegations against him are false.

A growing list of networks pulling Cosby content old and new

The news that Cosby Show reruns will be scrapped is the third similar announcement in the past day. A planned NBC sitcom starring Cosby will not go forward, and Netflix’s Cosby standup comedy special was indefinitely postponed after Janice Dickinson, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, became the third woman in recent weeks to allege she’d been sexually assaulted by Cosby. There are a total of 15 sexual assault allegations against the 77-year-old comedian, all of which he and his attorneys vehemently deny.
