Beyoncé: elevator brawls are an occupational hazard in $1 billion households

Beyoncé's whole career has been a master class in exercising control over her career and the conversations about it. And on Saturday, she exhibited the latest lesson with the release of a remix to her song "Flawless."

Wrapped in the verses of the song, she addresses, but doesn’t delve too deep, into the much-talked-about elevator fight between her sister Solange and her husband, Jay-Z, during a Met Ball after-party last May.

She explains that elevator brawls are normal behavior when people (and Solange too) worth $1 billion ride in an elevator together. Given that many of us don’t have a net worth of $1 billion, she’s hoping you’ll take her word for it.

She sings:

We escalatin’, up in this bitch like elevators
Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator
