It’s time for round two. Hillary Clinton, coming off a decisive win at the first presidential debate, will face off with Donald Trump yet again at the second presidential debate on Sunday, October 9, at 9 pm.

The 90-minute debate — no commercial breaks — will be held at Washington University in St. Louis and moderated by CNN’s Anderson Cooper and ABC’s Martha Raddatz, an experienced foreign policy reporter who used to cover the Pentagon and the State Department, and a veteran debate moderator.
Raddatz, known for asking sharp and concise questions — and keeping candidates on topic — has moderated both Republic and Democratic primary debates this election cycle. However, on Sunday, the questions for the candidates will be coming not from the moderators but from the voters, in a town hall–style debate. According to CNN, however, the first questions of the debate will be about the newly released hot mic recording of Donald Trump.
The debate will be aired live on all major stations — CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, PBS, Univision, CNBC, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, C-SPAN — and is also live-streaming on NBC News’s YouTube page (video above) and on Twitter in partnership with Bloomberg.
Trump spiraled into one of the worst weeks of his campaign after losing the first debate, starting a feud with former Miss Universe Alicia Machado — whom he once called “Miss Piggy” for gaining weight — in addition to being the subject of several damning reports over his private foundation and his tax returns.
The Trump campaign enjoyed a moment of victory at the vice presidential debate after Democrat Tim Kaine’s attack dog strategy resonated badly in the face of Trump’s running mate, Mike Pence, who, while claiming the debate victory, also failed to defend Trump’s campaign transgressions or proposed policies. Eyes will be on Trump and on whether he can turn the week around as Clinton — a strong debater — continues her lead in the polls.
There will be a third and final presidential debate on Wednesday, October 19, at 9 pm.
