The Daily Show skewered all of Hillary Clinton’s recent gaffes. It’s hard to watch.

On Tuesday night, Hillary Clinton secured huge primary wins in Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, and Ohio, making Bernie Sanders’s path to the Democratic presidential nomination nearly impossible. But as The Daily Show points out, those big wins capped off a week where Clinton repeatedly goofed up and said some puzzling things.

In a segment called “This Should Be Easy” — because securing the Democratic nomination should, in fact, be easy for Clinton — host Trevor Noah points out a slew of unprompted gaffes Clinton has made.

  • On Friday afternoon, Clinton said the Reagans were more or less heroes during the AIDS crisis, which couldn’t be further from the truth.
  • On Saturday, she questioned where Sanders was during her fight for health care reform in 1993 and 1994. Video surfaced to reveal that he was literally standing right behind her during a speech on the issue.
  • On Sunday, during a town hall in Ohio, Clinton said it was her plan to put “coal miners and coal companies out of business” while trying to appeal to white, working-class voters who are worried about their jobs.

It’s mystifying to see Clinton — an intelligent and savvy politician — make so many fumbles on what should be easy statements. If The Daily Show can find video of Bernie Sanders standing behind Clinton or Google “Reagans and AIDS,” there’s no reason Clinton’s camp can’t.

“The correct answer was any other combination of words,” Noah joked, pointing out that Clinton scored a big fat zero. “And yet she’s still moving on to the next round!”
