Martha P. Nochimson

Martha P. Nochimson has published six books, including The Passion of David Lynch: Wild at Heart in Hollywood; Dying to Belong: Gangster Movies in Hollywood and Hong Kong; and David Lynch Swerves: Uncertainty in Lost Highway and Inland Empire. She is the author of dozens of articles on film and television and numerous film reviews.

As a full professor at Mercy College, she developed and chaired a film program, and she taught for over a decade at the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. She holds a Ph.D. In English and American literature. Currently, she is editing a companion to Wong Kar-wai and is working on a book on television that goes beyond formula.
