How female celebrities are responding to their stolen personal photos

Stolen nude photographs of some of the most famous young women in Hollywood were posted on the internet on Sunday, August 31. They first appeared on 4chan on Sunday night, but quickly spread to the rest of the internet. Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, and Kirsten Dunst were among the celebrities who had their photos stolen.

Apple has confirmed that “certain celebrity accounts were compromised by a very targeted attack on user names, passwords and security questions.”

Victims of the attack have responded to this violation of privacy in different ways. Some have chosen to let their representatives speak for them. Some have responded with anger or sarcasm. Some have said the photos are fake. Others have remained silent. All of their reactions are valid.
