New Xbox One Ad Promises to Give You Ancient Roman PTSD (Video)

Oh, that sounds ... fun?

Gamers! Do you want immersive graphics?

Like, so immersive that they give you psychological trauma? Of course you do!

That’s basically the message behind this new Xbox One ad. The target: Real gamers, the supposed demographic that correlates improved graphics with better gameplay, even though the visually impressive Xbox game being shown off here — Ryse: Son of Rome — has received middling reviews.

Maybe the next next-gen consoles will actually make the ad’s fantasy a reality, as predicted years ago by the Perry Bible Fellowship.
