Twitter Taps Groupon Exec for Lead HR Role

Brian “Skip” Schipper has been named Twitter’s new vice president of human resources, according to a series of tweets sent Wednesday. Schipper comes most recently from Groupon, where he was SVP of HR; before that, he held the same position at Cisco. As a result, Twitter’s current HR lead, Janet Van Huysse, will step down and begin reporting to Schipper in her new role as head of leadership development and inclusion.
