Networking giant Cisco Systems and Box, the IPO-bound cloud storage company, today announced a broad alliance under which they will deliver collaboration software products for use by companies. The two companies also announced the first fruit of their tie-up, Project Squared, an office collaboration app that was developed for iOS, the Mac and Android devices and will also run in a standard browser. The app allows teams of workers to share documents in a feed and also to conduct voice and video calls one-on-one or with multiple parties.
