Apple earned a perfect score for workplace inclusion in a new report from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the educational arm of the nation’s largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization. The organization said Apple has been a leader on this issue since 2002, when the HRC began to issue reports on employer non-discrimination policies, benefits, competency around diversity and inclusion and public commitment to equality. The company was among the first to offer full domestic-partner benefits in 1993. Chief Executive Tim Cook, who recently came out as gay, has been an outspoken advocate for LGBT rights.
