Cory Ondrejka, Facebook’s VP of mobile engineering, is leaving the company next week, according to a Facebook post.
Facebook’s Mobile Engineering Vice President to Depart
Ondrejka, who helped build Facebook Home, is leaving after four years.

Ondrejka, who joined Facebook in 2010 after co-founding the game Second Life at Linden Lab, worked on a number of mobile initiatives — including Facebook Home, the company’s mobile operating system for Android that never really took off. He also oversaw mobile engineering during Facebook’s transition to native iOS and Android apps a few years back.
Ondrejka isn’t saying where he’s headed, but added that he will be “building my next company from scratch.”
