Re/code on TV: The Sony Saga Continues and Decoding the Uber Way

Another week, another seven days of wall-to-wall Sony hack coverage as the damage continues to mount.

On Wednesday, Re/code Managing Editor Ed Lee explained why Sony’s historical antagonistic relationship with the technology world is now hurting it.

The following day, Re/code’s Dawn Chmielewski appeared on MSNBC to highlight how a country that is portrayed abroad as technologically backward might have been able to carry out such a skillful attack.

Re/code Co-Executive Editor Kara Swisher appeared on CNBC on Friday morning to discuss the FBI’s claim that North Korea is responsible for the Sony breach, as well as the no-win situation Sony finds itself in as its movie distribution partners distance themselves from “The Interview.”

“Everybody is nervous to speak up because they don’t want to get attacked,” Swisher said.

And last sunday, Senior Editor Liz Gannes appeared on PBS Newshour to discuss the issue with Uber background checks as well as the reason why investors are already valuing it at $41 billion.
