Joe Cocker, the legendary English rock and blues musician, died this morning at his home in Colorado after a battle with lung cancer. He was 70 years old.

Cocker was perhaps most famous for his covers of Beatles songs in the 1960s, particularly his version of “With a Little Help From My Friends,” which he performed live at Woodstock in 1969. That song later became the theme music for The Wonder Years.
Since that performance, Cocker has produced 22 studio albums and one no. 1 hit: "Up Where We Belong," a duet with Jennifer Warnes that won him a Grammy in 1983. In 2008, he was named one of the 100 Greatest Singers of All Time by Rolling Stone.
