Now iPhone users can check how fast (or slow) their mobile broadband connections are thanks to a new app released Tuesday by the Federal Communications Commission. The agency released an iPhone version of the FCC Speed Test app, which it unveiled last fall for Android phones. It’s now available in the iTunes store. The agency plans to use data collected on the app for future reports on broadband speed and wireless competition in U.S. The agency says it’s app won’t collect personal or uniquely identifiable information.
