Democrats Propose Net Neutrality Bill

Democratic House and Senate members introduced legislation today that would give the Federal Communications Commission authority to enforce net neutrality rules, after a federal appeals court last month struck them down. The bill would restore the FCC’s net neutrality rules until the agency could take permanent action to ensure that broadband providers could not block or discriminate against legal Internet traffic. The legislation isn’t expected to get very far since House Republicans are unlikely support it.
