It’s Official: Dish Won All the Licenses in Recent Airwaves Auction

Dish Network is officially the winner of all of the wireless broadband airwaves licenses recently auctioned off by the federal government. The satellite TV provider was the presumed winner of the auction last week because the licenses went for the exact amount Dish offered to pay. No other serious bidders showed up, so Dish swept the auction. The Federal Communications Commission reported that Dish-owned American H Block Wireless LLC won all 176 licenses for $1.564 billion. A Dish spokesman declined to comment.
