Yahoo Acquires Social Data Startup Vizify

Yahoo has acquired Vizify, the company announced Wednesday. Since its founding in 2011, Vizify has taken social data from services like Facebook and Twitter and used it to create consumer-friendly visualizations, infographics and videos. (Twitter, in particular, often worked with Vizify.) Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Vizify will soon shut down its current offerings.
