Polaris Partners, the Boston, Mass.-based venture firm, announced on Wednesday it has named Pat Kinsel its newest venture partner. Kinsel, who was most recently an entrepreneur-in-residence at Polaris, previously founded Spindle, a social discovery app that was acquired by Twitter in 2013. Kinsel also worked at Microsoft in the company’s search division. Kinsel plans to focus on early-stage tech investments for the firm.
