Twitter engineering VP Ruslan Belkin will step down from his day-to-day role at Twitter and into an advisory position, according to Belkin’s LinkedIn profile. Sources said that Esteban Kozak, a director of product management, will also leave Twitter. Belkin and Kozak led work on Twitter’s “Discover” team, a section of Twitter’s mobile app that has seen little traction over the past few years. The Discover team, which was previously siloed, will now report to the product organization heads, currently led by product engineering VP Jeremy Gordon and senior product management director Christian Oestlien. Twitter declined to comment.
