WordPress Owner Automattic Acquires Longreads

Automattic, the company behind online publishing platform WordPress, announced Wednesday it had acquired Longreads, the Oakland, Calif.-based link-sharing startup that aggregates and delivers the best long-form content on the Web to subscribers via email. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
