Two New, Striking iPad Ads From Apple (Video)

Like many Apple ads, these two are interested in promoting the notion that Work Can Be Done On An iPad.

Here are two new ads from Apple, which wants you to know that the iPad can help you conduct a symphony or travel around the world.

The two spots, featuring Finnish conductor/composer Esa-Pekka Salonen and travel blogger Chérie King, are designed as answers to the “What Will Your Verse Be” spot that Apple debuted in January. But you don’t need to know that, as they are striking and self-explanatory.

You can see them on Apple’s Web site and at the bottom of this post.

Like many Apple ads, these two are particularly interested in promoting the notion that Work Can Be Done On An iPad. Unlike many other Apple ads, these will come with lots of online tie-ins, both on Apple.com as well as iTunes, including a free download of Salonen’s “Violin Concerto.”

Also of note: Even though King describes herself as a “Deaf Travel blogger,” Apple studiously avoids playing that up. If you’re not paying attention you won’t notice the two times she uses sign language in the 60-second clip.
