Autism Speaks said on Tuesday it will collaborate with Google to build the world’s biggest database of genomic information on autism spectrum disorder, creating an open platform for research into causes, treatments and more for the condition that now affects 1 in 68 children. The advocacy organization will use the Google Cloud Platform for the Autism Speaks Ten Thousand Genomes Program, an effort under way to sequence the full genomes of 10,000 people with the condition and their families.
