It won’t exactly earn eBay bragging rights, but the first diversity report published by the veteran e-commerce company revealed a workforce with a larger percentage of women, blacks and Hispanics than many of its big Silicon Valley peers.

EBay’s U.S. workforce is largely white, Asian and male, just like that of Google, Yahoo, Facebook and LinkedIn. But it stands out from its peers in a two ways.
First, 42 percent of its staff is female, compared to percentages of 30 percent to 39 percent from the aforementioned tech giants, which released their own reports earlier this year.
Second, seven percent of its U.S. employees are black and five percent are Hispanic. These numbers in no way scream diversity, but they do come in ahead of Facebook, Google, Yahoo and LinkedIn.
