Microsoft Delays Chinese Xbox One Launch to End of This Year

The Xbox One had been scheduled to launch in China this month, but it’s now been pushed back to the end of this year. Microsoft and its Chinese partner BesTV said they will “need more a bit more time,” according to a company statement. China is home to hundreds of millions of gamers, but the Chinese government had banned gaming consoles between 2000 and 2013, when a “Shanghai Free Trade Zone” for foreign investment was established.
