Code-Teaching Robot Maker Play-i Reboots as Wonder Workshop

In order to better reflect the company’s vision and sound less “nerdy,” Play-i announced today that it is changing its name to Wonder Workshop. The startup’s code-teaching robots will also get new identities. Bo and Yana will now go by Dash and Dot, respectively. The robots are designed to help kids between the ages of 5 and 12 learn how to code. To date, Wonder Workshop has sold more than 25,000 robots and is now sold out for the holiday season. Customers can continue to order the robots from the company’s new website, but they won’t ship till early January. To see Dash and Dot in action, check out the demo from our Code conference here.
