Symantec Picks Veritas as Name for New Company Created by Split

Symantec today announced the name of the second company that will be created when it splits in two later this year, a move first announced in October. Symantec will remain a security software company; the new company will be called Veritas Technologies and will focus on information management. The name comes from Veritas Software, a data storage company Symantec acquired in 2005.
