‘Re/code Decode’: Arianna Huffington Thinks You Should Put Your Phone Down in Front of Loved Ones (Podcast)

Ten years ago, Arianna Huffington launched the Huffington Post, which is now one of the most highly-trafficked websites on the Internet. The Post was there for the pre-Facebook era, the rise of social media, a sale to AOL and AOL’s sale to Verizon.
On this week’s episode of the “Re/code Decode” podcast, Huffington tells Kara Swisher what it takes for media companies to survive in a constantly evolving publishing landscape.
“You can absolutely be run over if you don’t continue to pioneer,” she said on the show. “If you ever see yourself as doing maintenance, then you will be run over.”
Huffington also talks about the surprising success of Republican presidential candidates Ben Carson and Donald Trump, and proper smartphone etiquette (“If you’re having dinner with someone you love, put your smartphone away”).
