Automotive companies won’t let Google and Uber have all the fun when it comes to autonomous cars. Maarten Sierhuis, Nissan’s research chief, and Chris Borroni-Bird, a Qualcomm VP and former General Motors executive, took the stage at the Code/Mobile conference in Half Moon Bay, Calif., to debate the future of driving and what role Detroit will play.
