Re/code on TV: ‘Manterrupting,’ Ellen Pao and Apple’s New TV Service

Walt Mossberg took time out of his busy schedule in China this week to visit CNBC to talk about what it means that Sony is starting to sell the PS4 on the mainland.
On Kara Swisher’s regular Friday CNBC segment, she talked about the Ellen Pao trial and what she thinks the proceedings have shown about the working environment at Kleiner Perkins. She also talked about Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt’s “manterrupting” at SXSW last week and a Wall Street Journal report about a Federal Trade Commission staff report suggesting the government sue Google for anticompetitive practices. (The FTC ultimately opted not to sue the search giant.)
Managing Editor Edmund Lee stopped by CNBC on Wednesday to talk about concerns Republican Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama raised about Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s stance on hiring foreign workers and not paying Facebook employees enough. (?!)
Ed also talked about what Jack Ma is doing over at Alibaba these days.
Finally, on Thursday Ed had some thoughts about what kind of impact the upcoming Apple Web TV streaming service could have on traditional cable programmers and operators such as Comcast*.
