These geometric Star Wars portraits will awaken your inner nerd

With the announcement of the first Star Wars spinoff film, Rogue One, in early March, the internet is awash in Star Wars excitement.

One of the best fan homages we’ve come across is the geometric art of Adam Lister. There’s something reminiscent of both old Nintendo games and cubism in his work, and the subject — various Star Wars characters — really pulls everything together.

“These works grow from my personal love for abstract painting, pixelation, and classic things,” Lister told Vox. “I like to work with subjects that hold a collective familiarity. I take the original idea and deconstruct it, then rebuild it with an 8-bit-inspired visual language.”
