The feud between Game of Thrones’ Brienne of Tarth and Jaime Lannister continues IRL

In celebration of the fifth-season premiere of HBO’s Game of Thrones, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the actor who plays Jaime Lannister, joined Twitter Friday, April 10.

Coster-Waldau snatched up 25,000 followers quickly, and he enjoyed a warm welcome from co-star Gwendoline Christie, who plays Brienne of Tarth:

Christie’s and Coster-Waldau’s characters have a complicated relationship in the series. Catelyn Stark charged Brienne with delivering Jaime to King’s Landing in order to secure the release of her daughters. The two spend dozens of scenes on the road, bantering back and forth and making each other miserable, but their relationship grows into a grudging friendship with time. There’s even a wealth of fan fiction written about a potential love affair between the two.

It’s no surprise then, that their Twitter relationship would be filled with the same kind of bantering and scheming:
