Munchery, a venture-backed meal delivery company that competes with Sprig and SpoonRocket, has expanded to Los Angeles and will start taking orders there on May 18. It is also introducing weekend service in both LA and the San Francisco Bay Area. That brings its total number of markets up to four, including Seattle and Manhattan. CEO Tri Tran told Re/code that it will start offering lunch sometime in the next few months.
