Chart: Men support animal testing, GMOs, and astronauts more than women

Pew Research Center’s new study on public views of scientific matters in the US includes an interesting review of men and women’s opinions on 22 subjects. This chart compares opinions on topics like global warming, space exploration, and agricultural pesticides use. For example, men and women are flipped on supporting animal research: while 60 percent of men support its use, 62 percent of women oppose it.

The study also breaks down differences of opinion using other demographic data, including education and profession.
