Universal Music Group Chairman Lucian Grainge Renews Contract

Universal Music Group Chairman and Chief Executive Lucian Grainge has renewed his contract as head of the world’s largest label through 2020. The veteran music executive, who moved the label’s headquarters to California to be at the epicenter of technology and entertainment, has been a supporter of digital music services but has been pushing Spotify and YouTube to cut back on the free music they provide.
