This was inevitable: an animal psychic relays Cecil the lion’s final message for humanity

The internet firestorm over Cecil the lion has culminated in its perfect and inevitable climax: An animal psychic, in an astoundingly popular Facebook post, has relayed Cecil’s final message for humanity. And that message is this: “Raise your vibrations and allow this energy to move us forward.”

Yes, even the animal psychic who says she communicated with Cecil from beyond the grave thinks the reaction to Cecil’s death has become tiresome and counterproductive.

“What happened does not need to be discussed as it is what it is,” Cecil told animal psychic Karen Anderson, according to animal psychic Karen Anderson. “Let not the actions of these few men defeat us or allow darkness to enter our hearts.”

Though the post is public, Facebook’s embed tool is not currently functioning for it, so here is a screenshot:

Because there is no such thing as unpopular or noncontroversial Cecil the lion internet content, the post has so far garnered more than 3,000 shares and 1,700 likes, as well as thousands of comments that are often effusive; an awful lot of them mention crying.

And isn’t this, on some level, beyond the natural inclination to be earnestly sad about the needless death of an animal, what Cecilgate was a little bit about? An animal psychic telling us that Cecil loves us, and reminding us that we love Cecil, and all of us sharing a big, satisfying emotional experience on Facebook?
