Around one out of five registered Republicans say Donald Trump is their preferred Presidential candidate. And Donald Trump, it seems, prefers the search engine that one in five Americans use.

At least that’s one way to interpret an errant tweet from the multi-billionaire currently leading the 2016 GOP race. On Thursday morning, Trump sent out a link to a Bing search query for the latest Bloomberg Poll.

Trump promptly deleted the tweet, filing another that linked instead to the conservative site Newsmax. That article refers to a new Bloomberg poll out this morning showing 21 percent of registered Republicans favoring Trump. The poll also says 72 percent of respondents think the country is no longer great, a motto Trump bellows often and wears on his hat.
As of March, Microsoft’s Bing held 20.1 percent of U.S. searches, trailing Google’s 64.4 percent, per comScore.
Another poll out today, from Quinnipiac University, shows Trump leading the GOP pack at 25 percent, with his rival, former Hewlett-Packard chief Carly Fiorina, edging out Democratic lead Hillary Clinton in a potential match.
