”Staring at satellite images of Mars for inspiration made Doodler Nate Swinehart really, really thirsty,” Google gushed on its blog on Tuesday, a day after NASA shared new data pointing to the presence of liquid water on the red planet.
This is just another day for Mars.
The Doodle shows a cartoonish Mars contentedly sipping a glass of water through a straw, pleasantly surprised to see us when it spins around. As The Verge noted on Monday, NASA will continue researching the Mars environment, including looking for more evidence of water — and the living organisms that might come with it.
