Then I took this 11-question survey from Pew Research.

It’s composed of questions like this:

And it took me a couple minutes, tops, to finish.

Pew’s answer: As far as the rest of America is concerned, I’m hanging out with Karl Marx.

Pew’s interactive chart includes helpful buttons that allow you to see how you compare to people of the same race, age, gender, etc. Which really drives it home.

Pew’s methodology is here. And once you’re there, check out the rest of its research, which includes eye-popping surveys on stuff like the gender gap among Hillary Clinton’s supporters.
