Facebook laid out its plans to deal with fake news, counting on users to report dubious stories, which will then be referred to a consortium of journalists and fact-checkers for vetting. If that group thinks the story is bogus, Facebook will label it as “disputed” and discourage users from sharing it. — [Peter Kafka / Recode]
