The first season of Daredevil was brilliant. The fight scenes were choreographed to gasp-inducing perfection. The acting, particularly by Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, was effortless and convincing. The series’ heroes were charming.
Daredevil season 2 trailer: the Punisher has arrived

But the best part of Marvel’s big Netflix hit was that it examined one central idea in every shot, every second, every line, every scene: Daredevil was about the consequence of violence on people, on relationships, and on our lives.
The show’s second season, from the looks of this new trailer, will push that idea even further. The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) is now on the scene, brutally killing “bad guys” — or, more specifically, the people he thinks are bad. The important question this raises is whether the Punisher is simply following Daredevil’s lead.
“Maybe we created him? All of us,” Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) says. “We never stopped to think that Daredevil’s actions opened the door for men like this.”
As the immortal Marvel saying goes, “With great power comes great responsibility.” But going into season two, Daredevil’s message is more ominous, more threatening: “No good deed goes unpunished.”
