Nest co-founders Tony Fadell and Matt Rogers — and others including HP CEO Meg Whitman — are matching donations to the Environmental Defense Fund at ratios of up to 5 to 1 until Monday morning.

The EDF has set a goal of raising $1.25 million by 9 am ET Monday, a response to President Trump’s decision last week to pull the United States out of the Paris climate agreement. As of 5:30 pm ET Saturday, $588,500 had been donated.

The matching started this morning when Fadell, who left his role as CEO of Nest a year ago, said he would match donations if donors sent him their donation receipt.

“This thing has really snowballed,” said EDF head of communications Eric Pooley.

Fadell, Rogers and Whitman are not the only folks displeased with Trump’s decision to bail on the Paris Accord. A number of other tech CEOs, including Tesla’s Elon Musk, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Apple’s Tim Cook voiced their displeasure earlier this week.
