President Donald Trump will make his first State of the Union address tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 30 at 9 pm ET / 6 pm PT.

This will be Trump’s first SOTU address to Congress.
The address, held before a joint session of Congress, is meant to give the president the opportunity to speak directly to the American people about his vision for the next year, and also give a summation of what has happened in the past. This year, Democratic women in Congress said they intend to wear black in solidarity with the #MeToo movement that has exposed pervasive sexual harassment by men in politics, tech, media and Hollywood.
Other lawmakers plan to bring guests in a bid to highlight issues that matter most to them. That includes Democratic Sen. Ed Markey, who will bring Mohamad Ali, the leader of Carbonite, a data-protection company in his home state of Massachusetts. It’s Markey’s attempt to call attention to net neutrality, the idea that all web traffic should be treated equally.
If you like broadcast TV, then you have your choice of any of the major broadcast networks, such as ABC, NBC and CBS. And, of course, cable networks like CNN, Fox and MSNBC will be airing it live, as well.

As usual, the party that’s not in the White House (this year, obviously, it’s the Democrats) gives a response to the president’s speech directly after. Tomorrow night, it’s Massachusetts Rep. Joe Kennedy III (yes, from those Kennedys) who will give the official response.
One slightly embarrassing thing to note: Tickets for the State of the Union were sent to Congress with a glaring error. See if you can spot it:
