President Donald Trump has canceled his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, which could possibly increase the chance that America goes to war with a nuclear-armed country.

But don’t worry: The White House will continue to make — and sell — commemorative coins of the Trump-Kim summit that never was.
Just a few days ago, it was revealed that the White House Communications Agency had commissioned special coins to be made to commemorate the upcoming historic event. The coins feature Trump and Kim looking at each other in front of their respective flags, divided by a jagged line vaguely reminiscent of the Demilitarized Zone, or DMZ — the heavily fortified border separating North and South Korea.
But now the meeting is off. Trump wrote a letter to Kim on Monday telling him he no longer wanted to chat. “Based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting,” Trump wrote.
That raised a vital question amid the massive and dangerous breakdown in high-stakes diplomacy: What will happen to those coins?
Have no fear: The White House Gift Shop will still dole them out.
