Benjamin Soskis is a senior research associate at the Urban Institute’s Center on Nonprofits and Philanthropy and, in 2025, a visiting scholar at Independent Sector. He is the author and editor of several books, including co-editor (with Ray Madoff) of Giving in Time: Temporal Considerations in Philanthropy. He is also co-editor of HistPhil, a web publication dedicated to the history of philanthropy and civil society.
