Neil Hickey

Neil Hickey worked as a multimedia producer and video journalist with the Wall Street Journal in Washington, D.C., covering national politics and foreign affairs, from 2009 to 2014. Before moving to the United States in 2008, he was a senior reporter, bureau chief and columnist with a number of daily newspapers in his native Australia, including the Courier-Mail and Sunshine Coast Daily. He also freelanced as the south east Asia correspondent for the U.S.-based Energy Tribune magazine and as a correspondent for the Australian Associated Press.

He is a graduate of the University of Sydney and has a master’s degree in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University.
