Sara Herschander is a fellow for Future Perfect, Vox’s section on making the world a better place. She loves to write stories about global health, philanthropy, labor, and social movements.
Sara was previously a reporter at the Chronicle of Philanthropy and made podcasts for Futuro Media. Her freelance work has appeared in The American Prospect, Capital & Main, Fast Company, Documented NY, and others. In a prior life, she worked in global education, refugee services, and homeless services.
Sara earned her BA in international security and foreign policy at Boston University and her MA in bilingual journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
