DJ Earworm mixes an ode to 2014 pop music

Each December, mash-up artist DJ Earworm creates a mash-up of the songs that he thinks defined the pop music year in the United States. For this year’s song, entitled “Do What You Wanna Do,“ the loudest songs, aptly, are Iggy Azalea’s ”Fancy,“ Pharrel Williams’s ”Happy,“ and Taylor Swift’s ”Shake it Off.”

But there are also bursts of a handful of up-and-coming artists. Listen carefully, and you’ll catch tunes from Meghan Trainor, Charli XCX, and Tove Lo.
