Like a majestic phoenix soaring through the sky with an American flag on its back and dropping $100 bills in in its wake, Beyoncé has proven that an elevator fight between her sister, Solange, and her husband, Jay-Z, cannot keep her down and will, indeed, only make her stronger.

On Monday, Bey released a video to the “Flawless” remix featuring Nicki Minaj. The video, unlike the stuff on her visual album (where the song was first released), isn’t high concept. It’s an edited clip from her performance with Minaj in Paris, one of the first live performances of the song.
The video is really about watching Beyoncé perform the song live, because the song has a verse about that elevator fight and how elevator fights are occupational hazards for people earning $1 billion or more. People want to see her sing the song and the words about that fight.
Back in August when the song was released, she he savvily turned the talk about a troubled relationship into a boast about how much she and her husband make. She sang:
We escalatin’, up in this bitch like elevators
Of course sometimes shit goes down when there’s a billion dollars on an elevator
The move was classic Beyoncé — spinning a scandal into chart success (see: Survivor). And the Flawless video is the final chapter of this mini-epic — just guess which part of the performance draws the biggest applause and screams from the audience.
